This was a redesign project that entailed a design and structure makeover for over 300 combined pages and posts. I built custom web tools to help users calculate things like legal expenses and statutes of limitations. The site redesign also entailed the addition of new SEO efforts while preserving the existing SEO work that had been done.

Equal Agency designed and developed the Association for Entrepreneurship USA website to closely align with the organization’s established visual brand while creating a flexible WordPress platform that could support memberships, content publishing, eCommerce, customer service workflows, and long-term growth.

The site includes WooCommerce merchandise sales integrated with Printful, MemberPress-powered memberships, a custom API integration with a third-party affiliate system, conditionally displayed content based on user roles, discussion forum functionality, custom user roles, and reporting tools for AFE customer service agents. Equal Agency also created reusable page layouts and content modules so the AFE team can expand the site while maintaining visual consistency.

In addition to design and development, Equal Agency has provided ongoing SEO, accessibility, content, and technical support. SEO improvements helped more than quadruple organic search traffic, and the site now includes more than 1,700 blog posts, many written by writers employed or supervised by Equal Agency.

Over the past year, I have helped three website dramatically increase their Google rankings. None of these sites had much SEO beyond the basic page titles, descriptions, and keywords, so this made it easy for me to take them from “zero to hero”. My approach with all three sites was the same:

  • Identify relevant keyword phrases (KWPs) that they should try to rank for.
  • Create & implement a KWP strategy to optimize individual pages on their site.
  • Optimize their website in general.
  • Identify backlink opportunities.

The Results

Their Google search result rankings increased between 310% to 671% in just two months.

I was contracted by Metia to create this animated video for Dell, Intel, and Service King. They supplied the script and I created the storyboards and illustrations, then brought it to life using After Effects. It was exciting to work with Dell’s new brand guidelines and to balance the branding requirements of the three brands in the video.

I created a high-tech look for Microsoft’s Mission Critical offerings and designed a website with a highly interactive home page experience to highlight their proven success with large corporations and governments around the world. This work was done by Matt Wilson while employed at Metia (images and code are property of Metia and Microsoft). We used Silverlight with HTML.
